Prestwood

Prestwood Revitalisation Group commissioned Hamilton-Baillie Associates to prepare a report and initial plans for improving the centre of this large village. The proposals were presented to the community in  2016, and include modifications to the sweeping bend of the A4128 Wycombe Road. The plans were strongly supported by the residents and local traders, and form the basis for long-term enhancements for Prestwood

Speed reduction and place-making measures help to tie together the newly renovated Chequers Tree pub with the shops and businesses on Chequers Parade. Additional measures to improve car parking, and to enhance the boundaries and entry points to the village are also proposed. The study was supported by Buckinghamshire County Council’s Local Area Forum.
