Reconciling people, places and traffic
My notes from many years back when I undertook a study tour of mainland European Countries in search of new approaches to traffic in towns, building on an interest in “the woonerf”. Interesting to look back on encounters with pioneers like Joost Vahl and Hans Monderman now. The tour was funded by a grant from the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust in July 2000, and written up whilst in Harward in 2001.
